Fun on the Bayou in Beaumont

About a month ago I attempted my first solo road trip with Ben & Kate ever to go see my parents in Beaumont. Ben & Kate did great so it wasn't as bad as I had feared it might be!

Beaumont is just 30 minutes or so from the border of Loiusiana so there is a heavy cajun influence! We went to Gator Rescue-  home to Big Al, the largest gator in captivity! We went on kind of an off day- there were no shows so we just walked around.

We also went to a Splash Park becasue it was H-O-T!

We also got to spend some time with our favorite Beaumont friends- Jan and baby Lucy, and Stephanie, Caroline & Julianna but I was bad about taking pictures. We'll be in back in Beaumont in early December so I'll have to take more then!
