A Fab 4th of July!

What a weekend filled with friends, food and fireworks!

Saturday our neighbors the Keenen's had us over for a pool party and bbq. The weather was not the best but we did manage to get some pool time in before the rain started. We set up the bounce house in the garage and the kids had a blast. About 9 we came back over to our house and watched the fireworks from Lake Lewisville in our backyard and (the adults) played with sparklers. Thanks for having us Pat & Erynn- a fun time as always! Sadly I did not bring my camera to these festivities.

Sunday our friends the Kerpers had a party and I did remember to bring my camera.Check out these two little patriots:

They had a BLAST swimming. They have been taking swimming lessons for a week (stay tuned for a post on that!) and boy have they paid off. They probably jumped into the pool and swam a few yards under water back to the steps about 100 times!

Roz & Adam:

We were some of the last ones in the pool- they just did not want to quit! They did do some other activities:

Playing in the sand next to the pool:

Practicing a little football:

Running around and chasing balls:

Thank you Matt & Julie! We all had a wonderful time!

Afterwards we went with our friends the Freedenbergs to see fireworks at a local mall. Ben & Kate were pretty tired but loved the fireworks- they are Mirskys afterall!

Hi, Karen. I finally figured out how to comment! As you can seen, I love re-reading some of your old blogs. Whenever I need a break at work, I go to your blog. I especially enjoyed the picture of Ben and Kate in their 4th of July bathing suits!
