Big Time in Beaumont- Part 1

We had the chance to spend some time in Beaumont over the past few days and have had such a great time! Grammy & Gran are always great hosts making sure to keep us well entertained (and spoiled rotten!). We have had many adventures in Beaumont including....

The Fire Museum

The Beaumont Fire Musuem was a lot of fun. It is housed in a building that used to be a real fire station. There were many old fire trucks- one from the 1800s that was horse drawn with a small water tank- no wonder whole cities burned down! Here are Ben & Kate riding in some of them.

Reading fire books with Grammy

This was the pole the fire fighters used to slide down.

And the big hit- playing in the little kid sized safety house

Another adventure we had in Beaumont was going to the Bounce Zone....

And spending lots of time playing in Grammy & Gran's huge backyard...

Check out Grammy's extensive herb garden- I am very jealous!

We also got to spend some quality time with this little lady- Lucy! Jan & I spent COUNTLESS hours playing dolls as little girls and to now have our real life dolls together- well, it's just priceless!

Other adventures include an alligator farm & botanical gradens- so stay tuned!

What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies.
